Relaxing in the Green Heart, multiple day offer around the Nieuwkoopse Plassen (lakes around Nieuwkoop)

Have you always wanted to stay on a working farm built in 1858? We welcome you at the Sint Nicolaashoeve! More then a hundred years ago the farm also was home for elderly farm labourers. The rooms, where the farm labourers used to sleep, have been coverted to luxurious apartments. The comfort and friendly farm life go hand in hand. On the Saint Nicolaas farm there are 20 milking cows, 15 young cows and lovely calfs, 6 chickens, the tail wagging farm dog “Tippie” and naturally 5 cats. Various crops are cultivated: wheat, sugarbeat, maize, potatoes and sprouts. The children can play and cycle on the farm yard; they could even earn a farmers’ certificate. With the farm as a base there are various walking and cycling options to discover the “Nieuwkoopse plassen” (lakes) and its beautiful surroundings. The saying here is that there are no visitors only lovers of the area.

This location is ideal for all ages, for childrens, parents and grandparents. We can accommodate any arrangements to suit, with additional options.

- Farmers’ certificate: fetching the cows, milking and riding a tractor
- Polder walking route along childrens’ farm and/or along the only still working windmill quartet in the world in Aarlanderveen
- Boating across the Nieuwkoopse Plassen – a quiet motorboat or canoe alongside the dutch windmills

- Vacate apartment Monday 10 am.

Mid-week:

- Arrival Monday from 2 pm (negotiable)

- Tuesday: hire a bicycle for the day in order to complete the 7-hovenroute.

- Thursday –free day for you to choose from many of the options
- Friday vacate apartment 10 am
