How to find the "Sint Nicolaashoeve"

By car:

From direction Rotterdam or Utrecht 
On the A12 take the turning Bodegraven (N11)
When you approach Alphen a.d. Rijn continue on the N207 direction Nieuwkoop. Continue on the N231 direction Nieuwkoop.
From Nieuwkoop follow the signs for Nieuwveen. When you drive into Nieuwveen football fields will be on your right hand side. As soon as you have passed these fields you need to take the turning to the right on to Hogendijk. This is a dead end tarmaced road on a dike. At the end of this road the Sint Nicolaashoeve is situated.  

From Den Haag (The Hague)
On the A4 take the turning 6a "Zoeterwoude Rijndijk",
continue on the N11. At Alphen a.d. Rijn take the N207 as above.

From Amsterdam and Amsterdam Airport:
Take the A4 direction of "Den Haag", turn off 3 "Hoofddorp", follow the N201 to "Aalsmeer" and take the turning "Nieuwveen" and then follow the N231. Take the turning "Nieuwveen" and then immediately turn right into "Nieuwveen". Go just past the football fields on your right, and turn right into Hogendijk. This is a small dead end tarmaced road with at the end the Sint Nicolaashoeve.

From Amsterdam-Utrecht:
Take the A2 turn off 4 "Vinkerveen" and follow the N201 direction Vinkerveen. Take the turning "Nieuwveen" and follow the N231, take again a turning "Nieuwveen", after that as above.

By public transport  

From Rotterdam, Den Haag, Haarlem, Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport)
Take the train to Alphen a.d. Rijn via Leiden or Utrecht.

From Alphen train station there is a regular bus service: the bus 147 to Amstelveen will take you to Nieuwveen, travel time approx 30 minutes. Ask the busdriver to drop you off opposite the church in the Dorpstraat. You will be just 250 meters from the Sint Nicolaas hoeve on the Hogendijk. Walk 50 meters towards the village centre and just before a hairdressers' shop turn left on to a little alleyway with a small bridge to Hogendijk. When you pass this bridge you will see the farm ahead of you on the left.

From Amsterdam City Centre
Take a tram or bus to Amstelveen. From Amstelveen take the bus 147 to Nieuwveen, travel time approx. 35 minutes.
Ask the busdriver to drop you off opposite the church in the Dorpstraat. You will be 250 meters from Sint Nicolaas hoeve, see above.
